Pwll Du Adventure Centre

Following a major internal refurbishment at the end of 2004 Pwll Du Adventure Centre is available all year round (weather permitting) to Youth Groups, Schools and Voluntary Organisations. The Centre is self catered and self staffed although a new Centre Manager who is available to talk to groups about their needs and help devise an activity programme if required. Please contact The Wilderness Centre on 01594 542551.

We are able to offer fully tutored courses staffed by our experienced team of professionally qualified youth workers and outdoor education instructors, with a wide variety of outdoor activities for all abilities.

Pwll Du Adventure centre is situated amidst spectacular scenery on the Blorenge Upland. The valley falls steeply away at the rear of the centre, giving a magnificent view of Sugar Loaf to the north, across the valley of the River Usk. With the Brecon to Monmouth Canal circling the lower slopes to the north of the centre. The Black Mountains are only a few miles away. The centre is also within the Blaenavon World Heritage site which is steeped the local coal and iron mining history.

The Centre is an ideal base for Outdoor & Environmental Education activities, field studies and general residential courses.
