Gloucestershire Youth Service Outdoor Centres
For over 30 years the Gloucestershire Youth Service has been providing the following facilities for the benefit of young people. They are particularly for the use of youth groups, schools and other organisations visiting the Forest of Dean, Wye Valley and Brecon Beacons National Park. For your next course or residential choose one from one of these four locations.

- Plump Hill Environmental Centre
- Plump Hill Centre For Environmental Education, Mitcheldean, is situated in a beautiful valley in the Forest of Dean and provides facilities for day visit courses which encourage use of the natural environment through first hand practical experiences.

- The Wilderness Centre
- The Wilderness Centre, Mitcheldean, provides a larger facility offering residential visits for up to 50 people, with the option of either self-catering or a fully catered provision. The buildings have been refurbished to provide a high quality residential resource in a spectacular rural setting.

- Buckstone Adventure Centre
- Buckstone Adventure Centre, near Coleford, is located at one of the highest points of the Forest of Dean with magnificent views westwards to the River Wye. Providing residential visits for up to 20 people, it is particularly suitable for outdoor education, camp crafts, expeditions and treks.

- Pwll Du Adventure Centre
- Pwll Du Adventure Centre, near Abergavenny, is an ideal base for field studies, general residential courses and outdoor education activities such as mountain training, expedition work and caving. It provides residential visits for up to 24 people.
